Baked Turkey Tacos

This recipe was inspired by a friend of mine Katie Dolan. It is perfect for a weeknight 30-minute meal. The recipe from start to finish took 25 minutes. They resemble the hard tacos from Jack-in the-Box. The best part is they stay together while you’re eating them.

Baked Tacos

1lbs ground turkey breast

1 can refried beans

1 small can tomato sauce

1 package of taco seasoning

1 bag of cheddar cheese

1 package of hard taco shells

Toppings (sour cream, onions, jalapenos, and salsa)

Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Brown the ground turkey breast until snow white like in photo below.

Ground Turkey Breast

Add in the can of refried beans and tomato sauce stir and heat through then take off stove. Meanwhile stand all the hard taco shells in a foil lined glass casserole pan. Fill each taco with the meat mixture and top with cheese.

Baked Tacos

Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Top with whatever topping you prefer and enjoy.
